Introduction
Third grade is an exciting year filled with new learning experiences. In addition to Reading, Writing, and Math we will be studying Social Studies and Science. We will study the continents and learn map skills. In Science we will learn about the rain forest, the desert, the ocean, and much more. We will also do hands on stem activities this year.

Helpful Information
Snack and Water Bottles
We will have a short snack everyday. Please have your child bring in a small healthy snack daily. Students are encouraged to have a water bottle that they can use throughout the day. They should have water not juice or sports drinks in their water bottles. Please encourage your child to bring home their water bottle to clean on regular basis.
Snack time is at 11:00 a.m. and lunch time is at 1:00 p.m.
Birthdays
We will celebrate your child's birthday within the classroom with a special song. Due to a district wide policy, students are no longer allowed to bring a sweet treat to share. Students are not allowed to hand out birthday invitations at school unless they have one for every student in the class.
